Upcoming year plans

My plans for the next year are simple. I just want to start my studies in pre-nursing and get my Social Security Number, so I can work.

Also this year after my parents will come here we want to move to California and  I want to transfer there to a different College.

Another thing that I want to do is to take my flying license and visit as many famous cities other important cities like New York, San Francisco etc.

I also want to earn my driver license here so I can drive, and I want to buy a car, because I want to be on my own, and not to depend on someone else, and I want all my family to be together.

One other thing that I want to do is to start another program called CNA, is related to nursing and is just nine months, and after I finish this program I can work and I can continue my studies in pre-nursing.

I don’t have too many plans but I hope I can accomplish them all.

My plans for the upcoming year

The last week of summer program is ending. I can’t believe that six weeks come and gone - too fast. I still think that we were on the first session. As you know, I just graduated from pharmacy and I need to take this career for my whole life. I am making plans for the next year to do many things and I have many choices to make.

First, I’ll go back to Thailand at the end of January for my commencement ceremony and meet not only friends that I haven’t seen for a year since I finished pharmacy but also my beloved family, father and sisters. I think it will be the happiest moment that it can be. After the ceremony, I plan to visit Australia to travel with family. I’ve heard that there are beautiful place even Australian accent is not popular.

Next step, I have other choices to make. First choice is find job as pharmacist position at some international hospital, so I can use my English skills that I’ve learnt from here. Second choice is to go back to the US and gets the American pharmacy license. Then I can live here and take care of my mother.

Another plan is to keep studying, I am interested in the clinical pharmacy program or doctor of pharmacy program at Oregon Health and Science University. Maybe I will attend at that college.

Whatever will happen in the future let it be. All I want to do for this moment is take care my parents as much as I can. They’ve taken care of me for twenty-four years. Now it’s my turn.

When Ed EDMO finished his tour, he took out a cigarette and said he was going to a “tobacco offering” and pray. That was a surprise for me because it is a different culture between me and ED. In my country we have five prayers every day. Also we go to mosques to pray, if possible.  Most companies have a small mosque inside of them.

Mountain Hood and Indians

The most interesting part of the trip was the last two days. On the first day we visited a place near a lake, were we met an Indian guy called Ed. We had lunch together and after that he started to tell us some stories and legends. He also showed us some photos and some old objects and instruments that the Indians made.

Then after the lunch and legends, Ed took us to visit the sacred land of the Indians where again he told us some legends, and we saw some old drawings on the stones called hieroglyphs.

The hieroglyphs were a sun, an owl and some circles.

On the last day we headed to the Discovery museum were we learned again about Indians and how they used to live, their lifestyle.

Also we learned a lot about their trades with animal fur. They used to trade animal fur for guns or other things that they didn’t have.

After the museum we headed to Mount Hood where we had lunch and we had the chance to have a snow fight.  We all had a really great time together and I hope we could do that more often.

Mt Hood, My Natural Refresher

On the last day of our most recent trip, we stopped at Mt. Hood where snow still covers the top even though the temperatures have hit 90 degrees so far this summer. On the way to the mountain, we killed time playing a game, named “last letter game,” and to make Sheila stayed awake and alert at the wheel.

I had been to Mt Hood, once five years ago with my mother and uncle. I was still excited to visit this place again. When we arrived at the top of Mt. Hood, we prepared picnic stuff for our  late lunch, found a picnic area, and had lunch. For lunch we had sandwiches with different ham style, because of our variety of religions, and cherries as dessert. We were so lucky. Classic Car Club visited this place too, and we had a great opportunity to see the classic cars.

After we checked out the classic cars, we moved to the snow area so fast. Sheila laid down on snow and made a snow angel. Each of us grabbed snow in our hands and threw the snallballs at each other pretending we were in a war! That was so funny. Before we went back, we made small snowman, this was my first time. This moment made me so happy and then it was time to go back home.

Aviation Museum

The first time I heard that we were to go to the Aviation Museum I felt excited, because I never been to museum like this before. I imagined that it would be a lot of different types of airplanes and the real historical airplanes, too. I couldn’t wait to visit there.

            Friday morning, July 27^th, we arrived at the museum late. We missed the Lewis and Clark biography movie. But that was not a big problem; we could watch it on YouTube. Then we moved to the next step because we didn’t want to waste too much time worrying about the movie. We saw a lot of commercial aircrafts and fighters. My favorite one was the big airplane; its wingspan stretch along one side of the building to  the other side. Some planes we could go inside but some airplanes, we couldn’t. We also explored the evolution of the airplane from the beginning of the era until now. However, I was even more excited to see the space museum, in another building. This was my first time for the real space shuttle that I’ve learned about for many years in books. There were many things interesting to discover like the Lunokhod1; the moon walkers, The US Air Force shuttle and the iron meteorite. The last thing stunning to me was the Evergreen Water Park. The water park was not too big but it’s unique because of the big airplane stand on the top of the roof. Two sliders lie down from the airplane on the top through the roof and into the pool inside the building. This was amazing!

This was one of my best memories that I will never forget. It made me think that learning from the experiences is better than books.

Aviation Museum by Azanfirei Florin

                                   

On Friday we visited the Aviation Museum, and it was an interesting experience for me. I had the opportunity to see a lot of airplanes, helicopters and some of the NASA projects.

We saw pictures with the first man landing on the Moon, and the food that they used to eat in their spacecraft..

I had seen some of these airplanes before; but there was a big collection of them that I had never seen, some of them were recent models, but a lot of them were old ones, no longer used.

My favourite airplane is the business airplane. I like this type of airplane because it is fast and luxurious, and I’d like to have one.

Something that was strange for me was a rock of iron meteor that fell on Earth in 2006 in Africa. I just can’t believe that was an iron meteorite, and I believe that was just a piece of metal, but not from space..

The trip was interesting and I would like to visit again sometime.
