Where I'm from...by Florin Emilian Azanfirei
Where I'm From...
I was born in a city placed near Black Sea, named Constanta. I have another three sisters who are older than me, so I was always treated different by my sisters because of my age.
We had a big house that I lived in since a few weeks ago. In the front of the house we had a wide space covered with grass, a lot of nicely colored flowers and some trees! We also had a dog called Shiba that I loved to play with every day, but unfortunately she died a few weeks ago because she was too old.
My mom always loved to cook something special for us like apple pie or some cookies; she also liked to buy new toys or clothes! I never understood how she managed to do all the work in the house without any help and at the same time to raise us.
Every Saturday I was is charge of cutting the grass and watering to the flowers! I loved the smell of the fresh cut grass and also the flowers.
In our neighborhood I had a lot of friends that I liked to hang out with every day after school and sometimes I invited them to sleep in my house.
Also I remember than when I was 15 years old I made a deal with my mom. I had to read 50 pages from a story book everyday and after that I could go outside and play with my friends.
But now my parents are selling the house and all the good memories and experiences that we had there! It's time for a change. It's time for new experiences!

Wow - so many changes. Thank you for sharing your story and memories.
ReplyDeleteI like that your mother made you read 50 pages before going out to play with friends. She sounds like a smart woman. Good luck in your studies.
ReplyDeleteThank you....and yes she is smart!!
DeleteYou've had a lot of big changes in your life recently! My family moved a lot when I was growing up, a new place and a new house every year or two. It's a lot of change, but it can also be a lot of fun and excitement. You may not still have the house, but you'll always have the memories because you'll take them wherever you go. Welcome to the United States.
ReplyDeleteI have three brothers and understand the feeling of being the odd one at times. We no longer have our childhood house either. But now we get to spend time together each year and create new memories. We have grown closer as adults and those differences are no longer so important. I hope that you can have time with your sisters in the future to create new memories as well. Teter
ReplyDeleteFlorin, sorry to read about the loss of Shiba; I know just what it's like to say goodbye to furry, four-legged family members.
ReplyDeleteAlso, did you notice your hair looks purple in the pix ? - cool ;)
