When Ed EDMO finished his tour, he took out a cigarette and
said he was going to a “tobacco offering” and pray. That was a surprise for me because
it is a different culture between me and ED. In my country we have five prayers
every day. Also we go to mosques to pray, if possible. Most companies have a small mosque inside of
them.
Great comparison. So interesting to know how various cultures differ. It was great to get to know you and your wife as well. Teter
ReplyDeleteFaith is a wonderful thing! There are so many cultures with so many traditions and different ways to honor their Gods.
ReplyDeleteI was honored to hear the stories and legends from an Elder who has made it a way of life in teaching about his culture to all. The young people who attended are our future, and to see them captivated by Elder Edmo did my heart good. I appreciated the adult students who attended, you were expellant role models for my son and nephew(both 15 years old), because of the interest and respect you gave to Elder Edmo, they showed interest and learned the importance of this cultural experience. My boys and I had a wonderful conversation that night and I was impressed with what they shared with me on the experience. Sweet blessings to all-Linda
